ReadWriteThink is a teacher resource that allows teachers to get lesson plan ideas that align to the Common Core State Standards. There is content from many of the different subject areas, and it is divided by grade level. Some of the ideas are also categorized by skill or learning objective.

I encourage my English 10 students to use this particular website when we are researching vocabulary words. This website not only provides the definitions for words, but it will also provide an English Language Learner friendly definition, as well as a kid friendly definition. Most of my students benefit from the simple wording in the EL and kid's definitions.

In my Spanish classes, I require that students make flashcards. However, I offer using quizlet as an alternative. I love the accessibility of quizlet; students can have many different sets of flashcards that they can use on their phone! It also offers a few different assessment options, which allow students to practice with vocabulary in a variety of ways.
